Terms of Service
Last updated: October 12, 2026
Acceptance of terms
By using the PerfLoad website, the PerfLoad software, or the PerfLoad Workspace Launcher Chrome extension (together, the “Service”), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Description of the Service
PerfLoad is a no-script HTTP load testing tool that you run yourself, typically in Docker on your own machine or infrastructure, and that uses k6 to generate load. This website provides information and documentation about PerfLoad. Features described as “Coming Soon”, including PerfLoad Cloud and PerfLoad MCP, are planned, are not available, and may change or never be released.
Acceptable use
Load testing can disrupt the systems it targets. You agree to run PerfLoad only against systems that you own or have explicit permission to test, and not to use it to attack, overload, or degrade any service, to run denial-of-service attacks, or to break the law. You are solely responsible for the tests you run, the traffic they generate, and any resulting costs, outages, or damage.
Your data and credentials
PerfLoad runs on infrastructure you control. Requests, headers, tokens, and results you enter stay in your environment. You are responsible for the credentials you put into tests and for securing your PerfLoad instance.
AI tools
If you use PerfLoad with AI tools, such as by pointing an AI browser tool at PerfLoad's skill files, you are responsible for reviewing the tests those tools create and run on your behalf. AI-generated output may be inaccurate.
Third-party software and services
PerfLoad relies on third-party software, including k6 and Docker, which are governed by their own licenses and terms. Links to third-party sites, such as the Chrome Web Store, are provided for convenience; we do not control and are not responsible for them.
Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of results, and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PerfLoad and its authors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or availability, arising from your use of the Service.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
